Demote Club to Team

We have recognized another scenario with faulty data that requires a specific clean-up option. If you encounter a sporting team incorrectly created as a Club, this feature allows you to correct the information in your system. 

You can access this tool in the COMET Admin App (add /appadmin to your Comet homepage address) → General → Demote Club to Team menu.

In one quick step, you are asked to search for a club, then click Demote, and the rest is done by the system in the background. The following process creates a new Team under that same Club, which moves all team-related data (e.g., matches) to the team, while any club-related data remains as is (e.g., registrations and contracts).
