Live Tab

LIVE - Match Events, Timer, Special Events???, Timeline

The match’s Live tab is divided into two columns:

• first contains match phases and live commentary on the left,

• and the second contains the starting lineup, substitutes, and a list of team officials from both competing teams.

Match Timer

The Match Timer panel is used to manage and track a match's progress in real time. It allows users to start the match, monitor the start and end time of each phase (e.g., 1st half, 2nd half, extra time), enter stoppage time, record the score per phase, and update the Match Live Status (e.g., IN PROGRESS, BREAK, FULL TIME).

The panel also enables users to add or remove match phases and supports real-time match tracking for COMET LIVE apps and live match updates.

The Match Timer is also available in the Comet Football mobile app.

Commentary

The Commentary option in the Match Timer panel lets you add live match updates that appear on the public match page and on the COMET LIVE mobile application (if available in your Association).

Commentary entries are shown in a chronological timeline, including the match minute and (if applicable) stoppage time.

Lineups

Lineups Formation View

The default view is the player’s formation view in horizontal format. From here, with the control buttons in the top right, you can switch to a vertical formation view or back to a standard list view.

In the control buttons, you can also find a player photo/player shirt number switch, which changes the player’s representation in formation view. A player is represented in the lineup either by their photo or by their shirt number, with the primary color of their kit as the background, if one is selected for the match. The primary background color is chosen from the kit’s shirt color. White with a black shirt number is the default color if no kit is selected for the match.

A click on a player (in either formation or list view) lets you add match events to that player, if you are authorized to do so. It opens up the same dialog you can find in the match club tab.

Lineups List View

As a Match Component, the “Live Tab” is responsible for entering and displaying match events, phases, and commentary in real time. It displays the Club Lineups of both Teams.

Clicking a player opens up a dialog where an authorized user can add match events. If a match event is added for a player or official in the lineup, clicking on it opens a match event edit dialog.

Player and team official licenses do not appear in the Live tab.

The availability of the Live tab depends on the lineup publication status and the match status.

Restricted Match Stakeholders

When lineups are not yet public, the Live tab can only be viewed by users directly involved in match administration.

This group includes:

• Tenant Superusers

• Admins in the Competition Type organization and higher (within the Tenant) administering the relevant match role

• Competition Managers appointed to the competition

• Responsible Match Roles for Lineups (RMRL)

• Club Referents and Lineup Managers for their own club or team (within the organization)

All Non-Member Roles

Once lineups are published, and also after the match has been played, the Live tab becomes visible to all non-member roles.
