Appointment Notifications

Relevant Match Official Appointment Notifications are sent in 2 scenarios:

  1. Notifications to all appointed match officials are sent once the match status changes from ENTERED to SCHEDULED. Match officials are typically appointed while the match is still in ENTERED status, but these appointments become known to match officials only once the match is set as SCHEDULED. When the status changes from ENTERED to SCHEDULED

    1. All PENDING match officials receive a notification with a request to respond (Confirm/Reject)

    2. All CONFIRMED match officials receive a notification that they have been appointed (no action required)

  2. Once the match is in status SCHEDULED, notifications are sent on every status change of any match official appointment, e.g. when a referee confirms or rejects an appointment, or when an admin cancels a match appointment

Once the match is SCHEDULED, and match officials have been notified, it is not possible anymore to delete an appointment. Instead, the appointment should be CANCELED/REJECTED, to allow the appointment of a new official in the same role.

If an Administrator changes the status of an appointment on behalf of a Match Official, the same notifications will be sent as if the Match Official had changed the status themselves.

* ADMIN refers to:

→ Competition Admins and/or Referee Admins of Organization 

→ Competition Managers and/or Referee Managers of Competition

The notifications are also influenced by the "Match Role" configuration in the Admin application. The authorized group selected for a specific Match Role, which is granted permission for appointment and status changes, receives notifications upon the confirmation/rejection of the appointment by the official.

The system can be configured to send notifications to Admins/Managers:

  • of ALL appointment responses to configured Administrators and Managers

  • of only rejected appointment responses to configured Administrators and Managers

Notifications will be sent to the Match Official’s email address associated with their user account, as well as the contact email address listed on their profile.

The same applies to Competition and Referee Managers.
