Partial Edit Configuration for Person Data
Understanding Available System Modes and Access Levels
The Partial Edit configuration defines how much person information users can edit in COMET and MyCOMET.
This setting is managed as a system parameter, configured by the COMET team upon request from your Association.
Depending on the association's data-management policies and competition structure, different options provide different levels of control over who can update personal data.
What Is “Partial Edit”?
Partial Edit determines which parts of a person’s profile can be modified by club or association users.
It introduces structured access levels so that some users can update only basic information, while others — depending on their role or the registration status — can edit more detailed data.
There are three levels of editing rights:
Editable Person Fields by Access Level
Access Level | Description | Editable Fields |
|---|---|---|
Full Edit |
| All fields on the person profile, including identity details (like name, surname, date of birth, etc), contact information, address, registration data, documents, photos, IDs, and any association-specific custom fields. |
Partial | Basic edit rights. Typically granted to CLUB MANAGER and CLUB REGISTRATION MANAGER and P/C/S/O1 ADMINISTRATORS (subject to Approvals Rank configuration) roles when registration is still in early stages. |
|
Partial Plus | An extended access level that includes everything from Partial, plus additional identification details. |

Who Can Edit Person Data
By default, Superusers and Person Administrators always have full access to all person records under their tenant.
Depending on your Association’s configuration, other admins and club users may also edit person data at different levels of detail.
This depends on the following two system parameters:
Admins Manage Person Data
Club Manages Person Data
The second parameter — Club Manages Person Data — defines how much control clubs have to create or modify person profiles.
It can be set to one of three modes: None, Standard, or Advanced.
Club Manages Person Data Options
The table below explains how the “Club Manages Person Data” setting controls a club’s ability to create and edit person records in COMET and MyCOMET, specifying which fields can be updated at different registration stages.
Club Manages Person Data | Can Create New Person | When Registration Status is ENTERED / RETURNED / RETURNED (INT) | When Registration Status is SUBMITTED / WAITING / APPROVED / CONFIRMED |

Examples
Example 1 – Standard Mode
If your Association chooses Standard, clubs can:
Create new person profiles.
Edit all data when the registration is Entered or Returned.
Edit only basic personal details (address, contact, consent, height, etc.) once the registration is Submitted, Approved or Confirmed.
Example 2 – Advanced Mode
If the Association chooses Advanced, clubs have the same rights as in Standard mode, but can additionally update Shortname, Photo, National ID, and Passport Number when registration is approved.
Example 3 – None
If None is selected, clubs cannot create or modify any person profiles — all changes must be done at the Association level.
How to Configure or Change the Setting
The Partial Edit configuration is a controlled system parameter that can be adjusted by the COMET support team.
Associations can request one of the following setup modes:
Off – no person management at the club level
Standard – basic person management for clubs
Advanced – extended person management for clubs
To enable or modify this configuration for your Association, please submit the request through the Analyticom Support page specifying which mode should be activated.
P/C/S/O1 - abbreviation of all Association Administrative registration roles like ADMINISTRATOR OF PLAYERS, ADMINISTRATOR OF COACHES, ADMINISTRATOR OF STAFF and ADMINISTRATOR OF OFFICIALS
