Event Privacy

To hide events from public users, there is a “Privacy” switch on Event profiles in COMET. This feature might be used for specific organizational needs of the event, e.g., for seminars organized for a closed group of invited Clubs that should not be publicly accessible.

Events categorized as private are not displayed under the Events menu, i.e., they cannot be searched for or accessed without the direct URL.

To set the event as a private:

  • Open an event profile in COMET and hit the Edit button

  • Switch on the Private button at the bottom left corner of the screen

  • Use the Copy Application Link button at the top right corner of the screen to invite the applicant to the private event

  • Click on the 💾 Save button to save changes

Please consider that the privacy status will be indicated on the Event List.
