Cycle Application Types
Club License Cycles involve a self-registration process, where clubs can apply and complete all steps of the application process through their MyCOMET UI. A responsible person authorized to create, edit, and manage Licence Cycles can choose one of the predefined application types. Application types are designed to cover all scenarios of the application process.
Below are the explanations for five Application types.
Pay after approval
In this scenario, the club application must first be approved by the Licensing Administrator. If the application is approved, the club must pay to confirm participation. Workflow consists of the following steps:
Club Applicant applies (if applicable, fills the application survey form) → Application status is set to SUBMITTED
Licensing Admin (or Manager of specific cycle) reviews the application in case the application is:
approved - the application status is set to APPROVED,
not approved = returned - the application status is set to RETURNED. The club can correct and resubmit the Application for review.
Once approved, the Club Applicant pays for the application → the Application status is set to CONFIRMED.
Just Apply (with Approval)
In this scenario, no payment is required; the Licensing Administrator must approve the club application. Workflow consists of the following steps:
Club Applicant applies (if applicable, fills the application survey form) → Application status is set to SUBMITTED.
Licensing Admin reviews the application. In case the application is:
approved - the application status is immediately set to CONFIRMED,
not approved = returned - application status is set to RETURNED. Club applicant can correct and resubmit the Application for review.
Just Apply (without Approval)
In this scenario, no approval or payment is required. This Application Type has no workflow, i.e., once the Club Applicant submits the application, it is automatically set to CONFIRMED.
Just Pay
In this scenario, no approval is required; the club needs to pay to confirm the application. This Application Type has no workflow, i.e., once the Club Applicant pays the application fee from the Licence Cycle menu (as the initial step), its status is automatically set to CONFIRMED.
Pay Later
In this scenario, no approval is required, but the application and payment steps can be divided. The club can apply for and book its place early and pay later.
Club Applicant submits the application (if applicable, fills the application survey form) → Application status is set to APPROVED
The club can pay for the licensing later; once it is done → the application status is set to CONFIRMED.
Manual
The Manual Application Mode serves to facilitate stadium inspections without relying on incoming applications. It allows administrators to directly add applicants for inspection, ensuring efficient management of stadium licensing and compliance.
Please review the workflow scheme for each Application Type scenario.

Please note that the application status cannot be set to PASSED before it is set to CONFIRMED, so the club cannot be licensed successfully until the required approvals and payment have been made.
After the applicant status has been set to CONFIRMED, the Licensing Admin can proceed with the Application Decisions (this step is needed regardless of the Cycle Application Type).

Please note that automatic emails are sent from the system each time a specific status transition occurs in the application for licensing.
