My Unavailability

The Unavailability feature enables all persons to enter periods of unavailability in advance when they are absent and cannot be assigned to matches. Within these periods, unavailability can be entered as all-day or partial, on specific days of the week, or in general.

All unavailability (except that of Referring Club members) is displayed on your calendar, including the other events, matches, or trainings you may be a part of. From the drop-down on the left, you can select only one of those types of events to be presented (unavailabilities are selected on the image below). You can also choose a calendar preview type: month, week, day, or year.

The Family View mode is enabled in the image above; unavailabilities are shown for the user with a Parent Profile and for their Child Profiles.

Unavailability Application

In general the persons that have entered unavailability at a date and time when a match is contested, are marked red on that specific match. The mark acts as a warning and not a blocker, meaning that the person can technically still be added to the match.

  • Unavailable Match Officials are marked red for administrators appointing officials, on the list of available match officials, both on the specific match form and on the Search Matches console.

  • Unavailable Team Officials are marked red for their club users adding them to a match, on the list of available team officials on the team tab of the match form

  • Unavailable Players are marked red for their club users adding them to the lineup, on the list of available players on the team tab of the match form

The example below shows the unavailability set by a user who is the Head Coach of a club, and has entered an unavailability/vacation, which overlaps with a match of his club.

When he’s about to be appointed to the match, the system will display his name in red, indicating that he is unavailable at the time the match was scheduled. However, it is not a blocker and does not prevent adding this Person to the match.

A similar logic and user experience applies for Player on the Available Players list, as well as for Match Officials on the appointment consoles.
