System Access

COMET is a cloud-based application, meaning it can be accessed by anyone, anywhere, and at any time. The only prerequisites for access are a browser with an internet connection and assigned credentials (username and password).

Login Credentials

New user accounts may be created by:

  • A system superuser or administrator, in which case credentials will be sent automatically by the system to the new user's e-mail address.

  • The new user can sign up to My COMET Platform. For more details about the signup process, please refer to this article: Sign-Up Process

The username and password are the sole and non-transferable property of the person to whom they have been assigned. Each person is responsible for all actions performed under their own username.

If someone forgets their password, they can reset it using the "Forgot Password" function.

Access via a Web Browser

The system is accessed through any standard web browser. However, it is recommended that you use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. No other software installation is required.

After opening the browser, you need to enter the address of either:

  1. MyCOMET Platform, e.g., comet.hns-cff.hr/mycomet, or

  2. Legacy COMET UI, e.g., comet.hns-cff.hr

In general, the Legacy COMET UI is used for Competition-centric modules (blue in the image below) and requires specific authorizations. In contrast, MyCOMET is used for all other modules and features (green in the picture below) and is generally available to all COMET roles. After logging in, you will be able to easily switch from one platform to the other.

The first screen that appears when a user enters the COMET application web address is the login screen. Every COMET user must be authorized, meaning they must have a valid username and password combination.

Mobile Version Access

Native apps are typically installed through an application store, such as Google Play or the App Store.

To access the mobile version:

  1. Open the Google Play/App Store on your device

  2. Enter the keyword ‘COMET Football' in the search box.

  3. Follow the instructions from your device and install the latest version of the application.

All functions and instructions for COMET Football usage are described in the corresponding section for the mobile app - COMET Football. Please refer to that section for user documentation on mobile apps.

COMET DEMO version

Every COMET user also has access to the system's demo (learning) version. To access the demo version, use the same username and password as for the "real" (production) version. This version looks exactly like the real one, but the data stored there is irrelevant. As a result, you can freely learn, test, and try things on the demo version without fear of causing any damage.

Access the DEMO versions of COMET or MyComet App by adding “demo” to the direct link of your COMET association site:

  1. MyCOMET Platform, e.g., http://comet-demo.hns-cff.hr/mycomet, or

  2. Legacy COMET UI, e.g., http://comet-demo.hns-cff.hr.

Access to the COMET Football DEMO version is available on your mobile phone by selecting the DEMO switch on the login site.
