Standard Club Registration
Standard Club Registration (SCR) is the new registration process for club players, coaches, staff and officals, built based on accumulated 20 years of experience on how registrations are processed across the world. Despite being standardized, it is configurable, robust, and features more functionality than legacy COMET workflows.
On top of COMET UI, the SCR registration features are available on the new MyCOMET platform, which is from technological standpoint 15 years newer than the COMET UI, and includes highest standards and best practices in terms of data privacy. This new backend and UX works equivalently to new modules of MyCOMET such as Course Management, Club Licensing, Competition Applications, etc
As of February 2026, It SCR has been implemented in 29 National Associations using COMET, marked green on the below image.

All remaining COMET Tenants are entitled to migrate from their legacy workflow to the new/improved SCR at no additional charge, and this process can be initiated with a support ticket.
Below is the list of functionalities and features of SCR. This list will be updated as we continue development of SCR and its components:
Registration Workflow Selection
For each Registration Category (Player, Coach, Staff, Official), the Association can decide which standard workflow will apply for them, by selecting appropriate parameters, e.g. whether approval from governing body is required, and whether payment of registrations by club is required:
Just Submit: Approval not required, Payment not required (e.g. New Zealand)
Submit with Approval: Approval required, Payment not required (e.g. Lithuania)
Pay after Approval: Approval required, Payment required (e.g. Republic of Ireland)

Registration Type Configuration
Improved configurability is enabled for the registration process, such limiting certain Registration Types, to only some specific Organization/Types. For example, with Grassroots Organizations such as Schools, we can prevent official registrations from being made for these types of organizations.
Commonly workflow parameters are specified at the level of Registration Category (Player, Coach, Staff, Official). Furhermore, in SCR it is possible to specify per registration type whether the upload of the registration form, and approval from the governing body, are required for a registration to be confirmed.

Approvals
An Approvals Console is available in MyCOMET, allowing administrators to review and process all registrations submitted by clubs in one place, including registrations of players, coaches, staff and officials, as well as national and international transfers of players.
They can update the status of registrations (e.g. submit, cancel, terminate) either on the console (list of registrations) or on the new registration detail page, where they can also submit contracts, view/upload documents, update registration data, all in accordance with their authorizations in the workflow.

Approvals based on Club Rank
Registration authorizations in general follow a hierarchical structure. For instance, a player registration submitted by a club can be reviewed and confirmed by any Player Administrator above in the club's hierarchy.
For example, if the club is affiliated with a Regional Association, and that Regional Association is under the National Association, responsible administrators in both the Regional and National Associations will be authorized to approve and administer registrations of that club.
It is possible to override this rule via configuration settings, so that the registrations of clubs of certain ranks are always reviewed and administered by the National Association, irrespective of that club's position in the organizational hierarchy. In this case, administrators in the club's hierarchy, but at lower levels (e.g. Regional Association or League) will not be able to approve or administer registrations. Instead, they will have the same authorizations as the club.
Highlighted Licenses
On registration lists (e.g. Approvals Console or Club Players Tab) and organization lists (e.g. List of Clubs), a new green highlight has been added, identifying all active licenses of that entity.
Previously, users had to open an individual record and access the Licenses Tab to check which specific license or qualification that person (or organization) holds. Now, the active licenses are highlighted in the list view, allowing you to instantly see key information — for example, a coach’s UEFA B license or a player’s medical exam — without opening their profile.
There is a new Highlight on List checkbox on License Type configuration, which defines whether active licenses of that type will be highlighted on the respective lists or not.

Days Counters
Parameters enable administrators to set deadlines for clubs, and effectively monitor pending registrations by defining thresholds for highlighting delayed transfer and returned registrations in the system. Registrations that exceed these thresholds will have the "In Status Since" column highlighted in red, allowing administrators to identify and address delayed cases quickly.
Clubs and My Club Consoles
Both the Clubs and Admins can benefit from consoles that show all players, coaches, staff and officials registered in their Club (Club User) or all Clubs underneath their organization (Club Admin). From there, they can take necessary actions on Club registrations.

New Registration Wizard and Data Privacy
In MyCOMET, access to data for users is limited only to entities where these users are stakeholders. E.g. Clubs can only access their own registrations, and Admins can only access registrations in their Registration Category, below in their organizational hierarchy.
If clubs want to transfer a player from another club, or register an unregistered player, they will need to enter at least 2 data points in order to search, and will only see basic identification information, before they save the registration. They will do that in a user-friendly New Registration Wizard, leading the user step-by-step through the registration process.
For data privacy reasons, ach such attempt to access personal data is traced and available in the audit log.

Personal Data Authorization
Personal Details are accessed from Registration Detail or Event Detail, and these pages are secured to relevant roles, depending on registration category and on the organization of registration (or event).
Basic Personal Data (such as Name, DOB, Gender) can only be updated by relevant administrators, whereas Admin/Club authorizations to change other categories of personal data is subjected to system configuration.
Notifications
Email notifications are upgraded to always promptly inform users that are expected to execute the next step in the registration process, and to contain most important registration information. This applies to Registrations, transfers and Contracts

Improved Transfer Details
The module for declaring Transfer Details and submitting them to FIFA Clearing House has been refactored and made available in MyCOMET Registration UI for Associations migrated to SCR.
When the registration is entered using the new registration wizard, in the event of player transfer, the engaging club will be requested to declare whether a Transfer Agreement exists or not. If it exists, the club will need to enter details that will be submitted to the FIFA Clearing House on registration confirmation.
Later on, details of the actual (realized) transfer payments will be entered and submitted to FIFA Clearing House, all of that using a new and significantly improved user interface, on the Transfer Tab of the Registration Detail form.
Contracts
Club Contracts for all Registration Categories are also standardized and accessible from MyCOMET, including relevant process steps, notifications, management of contract types, including Annexes, and Approvals of confirmations and terminations.
